The Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA), established in 1969, is an agency within the U.S. Department of Commerce. It is the only federal agency tasked with promoting competitiveness of businesses. The Massachusetts MBDA Business Center, operated by the Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council (GNEMSDC), is part of its national network of business centers. Like GNEMSDC, the Massachusetts MBDA Business Center focuses on the six New England states; however, the Center does not have a geographic limitation for clients, its services, sourcing resources, or contracting opportunities.
